Fluidized tunnel freezer is a high-performance equipment for quick and effective freezing of large quantities of a product. Quick frozen vegetables and fruits
The range of products which can be freeze that way is wide. These are different berries (strawberries, raspberries, currants, blackberries), sliced fruit (apples, pears, peaches, apricots, plums, melons), vegetables (green peas, beans, sliced onions, potatoes, carrots, corn) and wild berries (cranberry, blueberry, blueberries, cloudberries), mushrooms, seafood (shrimp), semi-finished products for quick preparation of pizza (boiled chopped meat, etc.) and even these are difficult for freezing products, such as rice or corn on the cob.
The whole process is represented by the gas blown from below through a layer of separated product particles, all of them come into disorderly motion, as a result the layer expands and assumes the form of a boiling liquid.
In the fluidized tunnel freezer, a layer of a large number of berries or pieces of other product placed on a mesh conveyor, under the influence of an intense vertical air flow and a fluidization process, behaves like a liquid and the thickness of the bulk layer is aligned along the surface of the conveyor, with the particles inside the layer gradually mixing.
